Job Summary

KPMG is currently seeking a Materials Management & Expediting Officer to support material availability and supply chain execution activities through effective material tracking, expediting, coordination, and issue resolution. The role is responsible for monitoring material readiness, delivery status, and supply constraints to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment required for business operations.

Requirements

You’re a strong candidate if you have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline; with a minimum of Second-Class Lower (2.2) GPA.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in materials management, expediting, logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain operations 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/SCM systems
  • Experience tracking material movements, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant professional certifications will be an advantage.
  • Experience working in oil & gas, energy, or large industrial environments is preferred.

You’ll help our oil and gas clients succeed by:

 

  • Coordinating material management and expediting activities to support timely availability of materials and equipment. 
  • Monitoring material readiness status against operational and project requirements. 
  • Tracking purchase orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules to identify potential delays. 
  • Liaising with suppliers, procurement teams, logistics providers, and operational stakeholders to expedite critical materials. 
  • Maintaining visibility of material movements from supplier dispatch through final delivery. 
  • Identifying and escalating supply constraints, shortages, and delivery risks impacting operational schedules. 
  • Supporting resolution of material availability issues through proactive stakeholder engagement. 
  • Maintaining accurate material tracking records and status reports within ERP/SCM systems. 
  • Monitoring aged purchase orders and outstanding material actions to support timely closure. 
  • Generating material status, expediting, and supply risk reports for stakeholders and management. 
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material availability, visibility, and supply chain performance. 
  • Contributing to operational continuity through proactive material planning and expediting support.
