Requirements

QualificationsEssential(E) Desirable (D)
A first degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, economics or a business-related discipline.E
Qualified (or student member at the final stage of qualification) with a recognised professional accounting body (ICAN, ACCA, CIMA).E
Experience and technical knowledgeEssential(E) Desirable (D)
Minimum of one (1) year of industry/or consulting experience working in an accounting/ finance-related position. E
Knowledge of accounting fundamentals, concepts and conventions as well as bookkeeping principles.E
Strong technical knowledge, understanding, application and interpretation of relevant International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)E
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel.E
Working knowledge of accounting software and ERP.E
Specific knowledge of key processes involved in any of the following:E
–Accounts receivable management and revenue recognition
–Accounts payable management and cost accounting
–Treasury operations
–Accounts preparation and consolidation
Good understanding of treasury and other financial management-related concepts.D
